I was born, raised, and continue to live in SouthCentral Alaska with my husband, our four children, two dogs, and a cat. The majority of the photographs in this blog were taken on Alaska’s Kenai Peninsula. Focusing on species native to the area, I enjoy photographing insects, fungi, plants, animals, fish, and birds.
My camera of choice is a Nikon D3000 and I generally use a 55mm-200mm lens.
A nature enthusiast (Not an expert! Just enthusiastic!), I joined Project Noah, a National Geographic-sponsored citizen science project, in 2011 and have been happily contributing images and assisting other participants in species identification ever since.
This blog is the logical output of nature nerd + camera.
